This Grade 2 grammar workbook is part of the “Arc-en-ciel” collection.
“Arc-en-ciel” for Grade 2 is an extension of the methods developed in previous grades. The spirit, content, and pedagogical practices are thus reviewed and extended. Our teaching methods emphasize oral expression, which forms the foundation for learning to read and write.
The “Arc-en-ciel” collection for Grade 2 is based on the following methodological principles:
- Priority given to oral expression.
- Short, engaging, and illustrated reading texts, including narrative, informative, injunctive, and descriptive texts.
- Illustrative supports placed in the margins of the texts to explain difficult words.
- Activities that ensure effective learning of oral and written French, while stimulating critical thinking and creativity.
- Motivating and interactive learning tools and materials that engage students in the learning process.
The “Arc-en-ciel” collection for Grade 2 is a comprehensive method for learning French. It comprises the following four components: a reading textbook, an expression workbook, a grammar workbook, and a writing copybook. This collection also includes 9 storybooks.
Grade 2 Grammar Workbook
This grammar workbook provides 17 grammar lessons, 17 conjugation lessons, and 17 spelling lessons. These lessons focus on:
- Learning grammatical concepts and rules.
- Practicing the reuse of these rules through a wide range of exercises.
- Refining language skills through reflection on how the language functions.
