This Grade 1 exercise workbook 1 is part of the “Arc-en-ciel” collection. The latter is based on the mixed reading method. Starting with a global approach, letters and syllables are progressively combined to form new words.
The “Arc-en-ciel” collection for Grade 1 is based on the following methodological principles:
- Oral comprehension and expression: the many exercises encourage children to express themselves orally.
- An abundance of illustrations: attractive and colorful images strengthen comprehension and encourage oral expression.
- Children’s active participation: interactive activities stimulate children’s interest and engagement.
- Regular assessments: these pages allow the tracking of children’s progress.
The “Arc-en-ciel” collection for Grade 1 is a comprehensive method for learning French. It comprises the following four components: a reading textbook, two exercise workbooks, and a writing copybook. This collection also includes 10 storybooks.
Grade 1 Exercise Workbooks
The two exercise workbooks (Exercise 1 and Exercise 2) extend the Grade 1 reading textbook. They focus on developing and assessing vocabulary, as well as oral comprehension, written comprehension, and written expression. These two workbooks include a wide variety of vocabulary, phraseology, and writing exercises. Evaluation pages are also included to assess students’ progress and identify areas that need to be reviewed and reinforced before the end of the year.
