This KG3 exercise workbook is part of the “La Boîte aux Lettres” collection.
“La Boîte aux Lettres” for KG3 is based on the syllabic reading method, which allows for an easy and logical progression, from the simplest to the more complex. Children first learn to read individual letters, then syllables, words, sentences, and a full text.
The method applied in this KG3 reading textbook develops our KG1 and KG2 methods. The spirit, content, and pedagogical practices are thus reframed and extended. Our teaching methods emphasize oral expression. The latter is indeed the basis for learning to read and write.
The “La Boîte aux Lettres” collection for KG3 is based on the following methodological principles:
- Priority given to oral comprehension and expression through numerous exercises.
- An abundance of illustrations: attractive and colorful images strengthen comprehension and encourage oral expression.
- Children’s active participation: interactive activities stimulate children’s interest and engagement.
- Learning the shapes of letters and their sounds to introduce reading.
- Regular assessments that allow the tracking of children’s progress.
The “La Boîte aux Lettres” collection for KG3 is a comprehensive method for learning French. It comprises the following three components: a reading textbook, an exercise workbook, and a writing copybook. This collection also includes 10 storybooks.
Exercise Workbook
The exercise workbook teaches and assesses three skills: oral comprehension, written comprehension, and written expression.It also features a variety of exercises focusing on phonemes and graphemes, and lexical enrichment. This exercise workbook complements the KG3 reading textbook.
