The Français Plus 5 activity workbook is the eighth book in the Français Plus collection. It follows directly from the previous levels and aims to prepare students for the DELF Junior A1 and A2 examinations.

The Français Plus collection is a comprehensive method for learning French as a foreign language (FLE) and is intended for students whose first language is not French. The Français Plus 5 level offers an active and dynamic approach to learning spoken and written French.

This book was designed according to the approach recommended by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR, 2000). It provides a progressive program that develops the four core language skills: listening comprehension, spoken expression, reading comprehension, and written expression. In addition, it reinforces knowledge of language structure, general culture, and aspects of civilization. The aim is to enable students to communicate both orally and in writing, while preparing them for the DELF Junior A1 and A2 examinations.

The Français Plus 5 method follows a progressive learning structure and covers approximately 60 to 80 hours of instruction, based on a rhythm of 2 to 3 hours per week. The method includes two components: a student’s book and an activity workbook.

Français Plus 5 – Activity Workbook

The activity workbook extends the student’s book and provides a variety of exercises designed to reinforce learning. It includes:

• Listening and reading comprehension exercises, which help students strengthen their understanding of spoken and written French.

• Vocabulary exercises, allowing learners to expand and consolidate the words introduced in the lessons.

• Written production practice, encouraging students to apply their knowledge through structured writing tasks.

• Exercises on language structure, including phonics, grammar, conjugation, and spelling, which help students better understand how the language works.

• Games and a range of playful activities, designed to make learning more engaging, as well as practice sheets for the DELF Junior A1 and A2 examinations.
