It is an extension of our methods from previous grades. The spirit, content, and pedagogical practices are thus reframed and extended. Our teaching methods emphasize oral expression. The latter is indeed the basis for learning to read and write.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u201cLa Bo\u00eete aux Lettres\u201d collection for Grade 6 is based on the following methodological principles:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Priority given to oral expression, with various sessions are devoted to it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Class projects to enable group work, interdisciplinarity, open-mindedness, and collaboration.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Narrative reading texts and play extracts suited to children\u2019s linguistic and psychological levels.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Perfecting reading skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Introduction to the internal organization of the texts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Presentation of injunctive-prescriptive, descriptive, and informative-explanatory texts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Perfecting writing skills through progressive lessons on the different types of writing.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Insistence on vocabulary enrichment in every unit.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u201cLa Bo\u00eete aux Lettres\u201d collection for this grade comprises the following three components: a <a href=\"https:\/\/kedemoseducation.com\/en\/product\/grade-6-reading-textbook-bal\/\">reading textbook<\/a>, an <a href=\"https:\/\/kedemoseducation.com\/en\/product\/grade-6-expression-workbook-bal\/\">expression workbook<\/a>, and a grammar workbook.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Grade 6 Reading Textbook<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This Grade 6 reading textbook from the \u201cLa Bo\u00eete aux Lettres\u201d collection is divided into 10 themes. Each theme comprises two units.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>A) Each unit presents three activities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Oral and written expression sessions. The activities proposed here precede and extend the reading text. You will find:\u00a0<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An illustration that prepares students to read, with questions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pictures to help understand words and sentence structures.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An exercise for oral and written expression.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A lesson on expression techniques.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another page presents a reading text. This text is accompanied by definitions and drawings that explain difficult words, as well as comprehension questions. You will also find activities that improve reading fluency and text organization skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A page dedicated to an informative or injunctive text with questions, or a comic strip.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>B) Other activities are presented alternately:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0A vocabulary lesson to introduce words of the same family, synonyms, homonyms, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A phonics section designed to review phonemes and graphemes.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also, each theme of the reading textbook concludes with poems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finally, a QR code is printed on the first page of the textbook. Children can thus listen to phonics recordings.<\/span><\/p>",
