        "rendered": "<h1><b>Grade 6 Reading Textbook &#8211; Arc-en-ciel<\/b><\/h1>\n<h2><b>The Grade 6 Method Presentation<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This Grade 6 reading textbook is part of the \u201cArc-en-ciel\u201d collection.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cArc-en-ciel\u201d for Grade 6 is an extension of our methods from previous grades. The spirit, content, and pedagogical practices are thus reframed and extended. Our teaching methods emphasize oral expression. The latter is indeed the basis for learning to read and write.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u201cArc-en-ciel\u201d collection for Grade 6 is based on the following methodological principles:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Priority given to oral expression.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Interesting and illustrated reading texts: narrative, informative, injunctive, and descriptive texts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Illustrative supports and definitions in the margins of the texts to explain difficult words.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Linguistic, grammatical, general knowledge, and artistic activities that ensure effective learning of oral and written French. These activities also stimulate critical thinking and creativity.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Phonics activities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Written expression techniques.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The \u201cArc-en-ciel\u201d collection for Grade 6 is a comprehensive method for learning French. It comprises the following four components: a reading textbook, two <a href=\"https:\/\/kedemoseducation.com\/en\/product\/grade-6-expression-workbook-1-aec\/\">expression workbooks<\/a>, and a <a href=\"https:\/\/kedemoseducation.com\/en\/product\/grade-6-grammar-workbook-aec\/\">grammar workbook<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3><b>Grade 6 Reading Textbook<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This Grade 6 reading textbook of the \u201cArc-en-ciel\u201d collection is divided into 9 themes and 25 units (2-3 units per theme). Every unit provides the following activities:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One or two pages to encourage oral expression and introduce the vocabulary of the theme.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A reading text and comprehension questions that encourage expression and reflexion.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Phonics and a review of phonemes and graphemes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A presentation of composition processes and figures of speech.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other texts (injunctive, informative, or documentary) that can be integrated into a project to be carried out, or that help students better understand our world.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Poems.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A lesson on written expression techniques.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>",
